Macclesfield Friends' Meeting House
45 Great King Street, Macclesfield, SK11 6PN
Grid Reference SJ 914 736
We are a small friendly gathering of all ages that welcomes visitors, whether they come once only, or more frequently. Though silence is a major aspect of Quaker worship, we are notably chatty afterwards.
We believe that all people can have direct experience of God. We find that in our Meetings for Worship we can meet with God in silence and in spoken contribution. We can be empowered by this experience to find peace, and strength for our work in the world. Worship is not separate from, but is part of, our daily lives. We make no distinction between the sacred and the secular as we try to live our convictions in the here and now.
Our front door will be ajar; please feel free to come and go as you see fit.
The Meeting for Worship is held every Sunday at 10:45 am and lasts one hour.
Children's Meeting is held on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays.
The Meeting House is on the right coming from the centre. It is the end terrace house next to the Sony Centre.
