Cherished Chimneys - Pots to "Soot"

You are invited to visit our premises where you can view anything up to 1000 pots at any time. This number is not our entire stock, we are able to call on further stocks if required. If you require a specific type of pot, you may like to make use of the line drawings from the product list on the home page to identify it. These are just a few of the many and varied shapes of Chimney Pots. A photograph or rough sketch, with dimensions, either accurate or guessed can be a great help with identification of the pot that you need. Though we cannot guarantee to have the pot that you want at all times, with our large stocks we have a good chance of successfully locating it.

Finishes

Chimney Pots come in three main finishes:

  • Salt Glaze
  • Terracotta Red
  • Terracotta Buff

Two rarer finishes are Black and Staffordshire Blue.

Salt Glaze finishes: Mustard, Tan, Brown, Dark Brown, Copper, Dappled (sometimes due to ageing).

Terracotta Red finishes: Red, Orange

Discolouration range: Cream to almost Black.

Dimensions

Pots range in height from an approximate 30cm (12") to 110cm (43"). The average pot height is 72cm (28"). Top internal apertures fall between 21cm (8") and 32cm (12"). External base measurement 28cm (11") to 41cm (16"). There are of course pots that fall outside these measurements.
