A DIARY OF SOME NOTEWORTHY MOMENTS...
- The June Sunday School service was themed on the Body of Christ, when
the children led our thinking with a great "Body Song", photos
of the church family were put on the big screen, and Helen Warren from
SU reminded us to work together for God.
- Craigmore young people returned from Easter Camp at the end
of April 2003, determined to follow through on the theme of "No
Compromise". The extended weekend was a very special time for
everyone there, with many meeting God for the first time and many more
re-dedicating their lives to Jesus.
- A special feature of the Methodist Church is its Covenant Service,
an opportunity to re-dedicate your life to God at the start of the new
year (the first Sunday in January)...
- Christmas 2002 saw the annual Children's Service on the last
Sunday before Christmas, as well as our 10.30am Christmas morning service,
united with Glenavy Methodist (2003 will see the service held in Glenavy)...
- We had two experimental events in November 2002 - one was a social
evening of games and food called "Craig-more Craic",
the other a relaxed Sunday evening service in a cafe setting - "Cafe
Rock"...
- The now almost-annual Youth Club Children in Need Disco took
place in November 2002, raising almost £300!
- During the Autumn of 2002 the Rev. Johan du Plesis led monthly
meetings with the theme, "Developing your ministry"... Also
during the Autumn was Parentalk, a weekly parenting course...
- We hold annual Harvest Thanksgiving Services - in 2002 the
special speaker was Rev. Gary Haire (Christian Guidelines)...
- The Power to Change media campaign took place in September/October
2002 - we held some special events, including a weekend of prayer and
renewal with Brian Mills (Inter-Prayer)...
- Every youth and children's volunteer worker in our church is expected
to be trained in Child Protection issues - we held a refresher
course in September 2002...
- In the Summer of 2002 we went on a big bus to the Ulster American
Folk Park!
- We ran a mini holiday Bible club called A Flintstone's World
for children aged 4-7 in Summer 2002. Games, songs, drama, games, Bible
stories and lots of fun! Click HERE
for photos!
- The Youth Club goes almost every year to Castlewellan Castle
for Easter Camp - have a look at the photos HERE,
and if you're young enough why not come this year?

Come along and join us!
