Latchford Viaduct.

The viaduct now carries the West Coast main line railway over the canal and was opened for goods traffic on the 27th of February 1893. Passenger use started on the 9th of   July in the same year, so allowing the original railway line to be demolished. The railway joins the  London - Liverpool line, which passes over the britannia_railway_bridge.htm , a few miles to the south of Runcorn.
