About our Club

Located in the village of Holmes Chapel, Holmes Chapel CC is a leading section at the Victoria Club . The Cricket Club pre-dates the Victoria Club, and is about 100 yrs old, in comparison with a paltry 75 years for the “Vic” Club! The membership of around 800 play a diverse range of energetic and cerebral sports and pastimes, including Cricket, Bowls, Darts, Snooker, Tennis, Chess and Hockey.

The Club is open year round, 7 evenings a week plus weekend lunchtimes. We have a large function hall with it’s own bar, and we hold many social events in there, plus such things as amateur dramatics and a film society. We have a summer fair each year which is a regular village event and is very well supported.

Our Steward Jem Wootton serves an excellent pint of beer, and according to your preference, will serve you with Marstons Cask Bitter, Marstons Smooth, a guest beer, Guinness, Stella Artois, Carling, Carling Premier, Caffreys, Strongbow Cider and Dark Mild. Food can always be organised for special occasions.

We are always keen to attract new members, whether Social or Sporting minded! Our web page is under construction, watch this space!
