Cobham is located on the outskirts of london within countryside and is strategically placed midway between the airports of Heathrow and Gatwick.

Because of this and the nearby infamous M25 has lead to a massive expansion of Cobham over the last couple of decades.

A large international population is resident in Cobham creating a commuter village. There has recently been alot of companies moving into Cobham and nearby areas continuing a trend of firms moving out of London.

Cobham looks south across the river mole towards a wide expanse of watermeadows. The saxon name was Covenham meaning 'settlement at a bend in the river'. Cobham was also noted in the domesday book in 1086 for having three watermills. There are also roman remains at various sites in and around Cobham.

By the 1782 bridge which carries the portsmouth road over the river Mole is the area's most notable attraction, Painshill Park. The park contains some of England's finest 18th century landscape gardens, which have been restored to their former glory.
