Prolific as ever Jon writes music at a startling rate. In his world quality and quantity survive together against all the odds.
Currently unsigned, unpublished and underexposed he records in his own studio. His relatively limited but highly effective collection of equipment has proved a breeding ground for the creative and original sounds and song-writing ability like no other.
Jon draws on a wide a range of influences in many styles. Many of his more guitar-based songs find an outlet through Dizzy Dizzy, other tracks through different projects, bands and collaborations: -

Xtal 3, (a loose collaboration with other Manchester musicians) have had several dance tracks doing well in the clubs (CIA – Techno-breakbeat and ‘It’s Tea Time’ – a toytown classic). They have also worked with a Japanese singer (Hiró) on several tracks.

Jon Can instrumental albums include ‘Opium’ – themed on the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China.
Jon’s music is original yet always remains distinctive; in some form his tracks will have a strong theme and memorable, atmospheric sounds – once you have heard his music you will start to recognise the Jon Can style.
He has written music for film and video and his track ‘Unavailable’ (previously featured on radio and in the Manchester Evening News Demo top ten) has been used as the theme tune by Granada TV. Some of Jon's tracks are also to be featured on the film Bord to be released later this year - watch press for details.
Strip down the music to its most basic form and the songs still shine through, though in Jon’s world the music is inextricably linked with images, designs, sounds, clothes, colours, films……
