A musician
and designer based in ManchesterUK, Jon writes and records music at a startling
rate and in a variety of styles to reflect his wide influences and rich musical
heritage - Eno, Beck, Yello, Len, Moby, Hendrix all influence the creation
of the music as well as films, books, art, surfing, travel........everyone
who listens to the music hears something different in it and always want to
hear more.
Jon has recorded his music in his own small studio since an early age. He always gets the most out of his musical and recording equipment - often using it in the 'wrong' or bizarre ways to create original and fresh sounds. Always challenging the conventions but remaing accessible and memorable his music will take you into his world - if nothing else a cool alternative place to be!
He
has recorded three instrumental albums; all quite different but each one focussing
on an ambient relaxing atmosphere combining electronic and organic sounds.
These
include Opium - the album takes it's inspiration from the Temple of Heaven
in Beijing, China. Many of the tracks are based on a different part of the
temple and combine to create 60 minutes of music that seems to evolve as you
listen - you can't help but listen through to the end.You can hear a free
