The organ advisers in the Diocese of Oxford, Roy Woodhams and Barry Williams, together with our own Paul Isom, adviser in the Rochester Diocese have recommended to churches in their respective dioceses that the minimum fee payable to an organ builder for a report and quotation should be £200.00 plus VAT from 1st January 2006.
It is worth taking this into consideration should your church require such expert advice and detailed report. So often now, up to three quotations will be obtained for work and if these are to be reliable, with a full survey being carried out, these fees seem fully justified, although expensive in triplicate.
