We will collect you from your cruise ship, in the port of Le Havre, or Honfleur, just after breakfast and take you along the Normandy coast to the Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches.Please be aware that, the D-Day Beaches are over 55 miles long.
And, they start, at 'Sword Beach', approximately 50 miles from Le Havre.
As you would be travelling in excess of 200 miles; what you see will depend on how long your cruise ship will remain in port.We do not go to Utah Beach as it is too far. And only go to St Mer Eglise if there is time.
Your possible Itinerary includes:-
- Pointe du Hoc where Col Rudder's Rangers scaled the cliffs and captured the gun emplacements.
- Omaha Beach and Museum (in time for the English version of their film)
- The American War Cemetery above Omaha Beach.
Longues-sur-Mer Gun Battery where the guns and range-finder post are still in position.
- Drive along Gold Beach to Arromanches and 'Port Winston' the Mulberry Harbour floated across the channel soon after June 6th.
- Pegasus Bridge taken by glider borne commandos just after midnight on the morning of D-Day.
- Honfleur
- Evening return to your cruise ship.

- Honfleur a delightful picturesque fishing village frequented by many artists including Monet because of the quality of the light. Explore this charming village, its small museums and art galleries and visit its enchanting wooden church built in 1461 to celebrate the English leaving at the end of the Hundred Years War
- Evening return to your cruise ship.
