A GHOST AT
THE THEATRE?

Members and patrons of Market
Harborough's small, town centre theatre, regularly hear the sound
of footsteps walking across the auditorium. The sound of these
footsteps however, seems to originate in mid air - on a floor
that no longer exists!
Despite it's 'Tudor'
appearance, the theatre was built in 1930 as a bicycle shed for
Symington's factory. It was built on the site of 'The Green
Dragon Inn' and local folklore tells of a young maid who was
murdered here by her jealous lover - although a body was never
found.
Harborough Theatre-We
talk to people who have experienced these ghostly footfalls and
other strange phenomena here.
