The Three Swan's Hotel

This 16th Century Coaching Inn stand's pride of place in the town's High Street with a facade that has pretty much remained unchanged in it's almost 500 year history. The hotel has long been associated with stories of ghosts, particularly in relation to a former owner , Mr. John Fothergill.
Stories of bad luck befalling the Inn revolve around a painting of John Fothergill. Every time the painting is moved, even to the present day, some catastrophe or other occurs - either to the hotel or it's proprietor. Now the painting resides in it's custom made home - Fothergill's Bar.
Several guests and staff alike have experienced some 'disturbance' or another, either a prescence in their room or a fleeting glimpse of something out of the corner of the eye. Some of the strange occurances there that are featured in the video are:-
  • A chair that appeared to move by itself whilst a room was being cleaned.

  • A guest was handed a sponge whilst taking a bath by an unseen hand.

  • A family dog refused to enter their room and slept on the landing.

  • A hotel guest experienced a loud sound like that of a gong in his room and grabbed something cold and 'electrical' on his bed whilst his pillow was being tugged from under his head!

  • A seance was held at the hotel and although nothing happened during it, the glass that had been used was placed back on the bar and later leapt into the air and bounced across the floor...

  • We also investigate the hotel with the help of internationally known clairvoyant Tarona Gail Hawkins and discover a an unexpected prescence there - a troubled soul who wanders around the hotel. Tarona's account tallys exactly with details we discovered about the individual at a later date. In the video we follow her around the hotel 'fly-on-the-wall' style as she tunes in to the ghostly prescence.
