500 balloons on their way! The furthest reported distance was 1000 miles,
Agen in southwest France.
A Sponsored Walk
Two members of our parish (and two dogs for part of the way!) did a walk from Castleside
to Wolsingham taking 7 hours and covering a distance of 16 miles.
Consett Citizens Choir
Consett Citizen's Choir gave a splendid concert actually in the church.
It was very much of a squeeze but everybody thoroughly enjoyed it, and the wine and nibbles
afterwards!
There have been numerous coffee mornings/evenings as well as the regular 100 club/cake stall
in the village hall, a concert by the Church Choir, the Smartie Tube collection, the Pantomime
by the Drama Group, various 'Fayers', donations and contributions.
