The image is of a pollen grain of Silene acualis or Moss campion. It was
taken using the Zeiss DSM 962 scanning electron microscope with a Contax 167MT
SLR camera back attachment. The pollen was originally magnified x2000 and the
image was coloured and given an artificial lens flare using Photoshop 5.03.
