I scanned two leaves on my flat bed scanner using the transparency hood as I wanted their translucency to show. I arranged them on the scanner bed as you see them.
    I put the scanned image onto a background of a section of a paper bark tree. I did not like the result as the pinkness of the bark did not go with the colour of the leaves. I tried inverting the bark image and this was the result which I liked. I then cloned a small section of the bark for the stalks to rest upon so that they did not appear to be floating too much.
    A few level adjustments and that gave me the image you see.
