GEC - MARCONI: Heritage GEC of the UK (no connection with GE of the US) changed its name to Marconi in 1999 on the floating of its joint venture with Alsthom, now Alstom.
Marconi's site includes brief histories of constituent companies, including English Electric, AEI, Metropolitan-Vickers and BTH.
This site has moved and the old site www.marconi.com/about_marconi/heritage/ now appears to be dead. The new site does not contain the archive indexes which were in the old site and is of little value.

GLASGOW UNIVERSITY - BUSINESS RECORDS ARCHIVE Several railway related collections including North British Locomotive Company and constituents, plus William Beardmore, Andrew Barclay, R Y Pickering, Tharsis Copper and Sulphur Co Ltd.

MANCHESTER MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Holders of the Beyer, Peacock Archive. A very badly designed and uninformative entertainment site.
We suggest contacting the archivist directly at archive@mussci.u-net.com
An essential finding aid is our book "Beyer, Peacock Locomotive Order List" as you will need the locomotive order number to access information on specific locomotives.
