KEEP WATCH!
The Lord tells us to 'keep watch' and to 'be ready' for His return, but the fact
is that the vast majority of the Church, and it's leaders don't even know what we should be watching
for. Many say it is not important to spend time on 'last days' prophecies, because it will all happen
in the Lord's timing, and we shouldn't bother about it - And yet the Lord commands us several times to
'KEEP WATCH' and 'BE READY'! But to 'keep watch' over what,and 'be ready' for what? The answer being
to 'keep watch' over world events and how they tie in with endtime prophecy. Also to 'be ready' for the
Lord's return, which the fulfillment of these prophecies portend.
The Lord has devoted a very
large part of the Bible to these prophecies - you can be certain this is not just for idle curiosity
on our part - it is vitally important - in order to spur us on into a purer and closer walk with Him
and with each other, and to warn others of what is about to happen, as we see the 'day' approaching.
