NEW  ZEALAND

New Zealand's cool, temperate climate has enabled its wine industry to produce stylish dry white wines. The sauvignons have really set the pace with their lively gooseberry flavours and asparagus bouquet. The chardonnays have a delicate tropical fruit nose and are jam-packed with the distinctive flavour of crushed peaches. The reds show deep, ripe red-berry fruit and are making their mark, shadowing the great success of its whites.

Cable Bay

A beautifully balanced wine with intense fruit character, crisp acidity and fine texture.

The grapes were harvested in the cool of the evening and immediately pressed to retain the delicate fruit flavours and aromas. The juice was cool fermented and then allowed to rest on the yeast lees for five months. A small portion of the juice was fermented and aged in new French oak barriques and then blended with the tank fermented wine prior to bottling.
