| Hi, I'm Roxanne, I have been in dogs since I was 7 when we got
our first dog (Emmi) in 1994 but before I was very interested in dogs
and showing and since the age of 3 years I was going into Junior
handling at exemption shows, with very well trained boxers, and after a
couple of years I started to also handle a friends rough collie in
novelty classes!
I am now also in Australian Shepherds, which I and in partnership with and handle for my Grandparents and have been since 2000. I also handle many other breeds including Border Terriers to Alaskan Malamutes, a big difference of breeds! I have done extremely well In junior handling including getting to the JHA semi-finals and the Crufts group finals, and gaining some very high awards in these classes as well as many Best Junior Handlers with a number of different dogs. I have now started Judging Red and whites, Aussies and Handling and I passed the two KC examinations by the age of 13, and passed both breed seminars I have attend by the age of 14! Although not something I have considerd going into as my future carrer it is something I enojy. I groom my own IRWS and you can find some tips here to help you and also I was convinsed by a friend to take part the the YKC (Young Kennel Club) Grooming competition, My experience and results can be found here As well as dog showing I enjoy walking the dogs and seeing how things work on computers.
