The Counterfeit Clash

Double date is All Clash for Copycats.

The Counterfeit Clash have a double header lined up at McHuill's two venues tomorrow (Way Out West) and Saturday Evening (High Street).  There is also a Saturday afternoon show at the Scotia.  And all this three years after they formed for one night only.  The Clash tribute band have become one of Scotland's most popular tribute groups since coming together in late 1996 to play a "one-off" Cash for Kids fund raiser for the Radio Clyde charity

A year later they reformed for a repeat performance, but the interest level was such that they decided to become Joe Strummer and co. on a full time basis.  The revival of interest in all things Clash has, of course, done the band no harm at all and the group attracted a bumper crowd to a show in Bourbon Street last week.
