2005 Race Summary

 

Round 1: Snetterton 6 Hours, 3rd April 2005  

Rider Line up:

Mark Smith Halvorsen, Roger Bennett, Sandy Christie

 

 

Qualifying:      Mark – 1st in group, 1:14.00

                        Roger – 1st in group 1:11.44 Pole Position

                        Sandy – 1st in group, 1:11.86

 

 

Race:

The team led the race, but mechanical problems led to retirement after 90 minutes.  GBMoto fastest lap 1:11.21; race fastest lap team BMR 1:11.14

Round 2: Brands Hatch 6 Hours, 21st May 2005

 

 

Rider line up:

Roger Bennett, Sandy Christie, Richard Norris

Qualifying:     Richard – 1st in group 1:39.19 Pole Position

                        Roger – 6th in group, 1:54.40 (raining)

                        Sandy – 8th in group, 1:53.53 (raining)

 

Race:

The team led the race, set the fastest lap 1:33.52 (a new circuit lap record), but a holed radiator dropped the team to 12th overall and 9th in class.

 

 

Round 3: Snetterton 8 Hours, 26th June 2005

 

 

Rider line up: 

Mark Smith Halvorsen, Roger Bennett, Richard Norris

Qualifying:      Mark – 6th in group, 1:13.69

                        Roger – 1st in group 1:11.18

                        Richard – 1st in group 1:10.49 Pole Position

 

 

Race:

The team led the race, set the fastest lap 1:10.04, but once again electrical problems led to retirement.

 

 Round 4: Pembrey, July.  GBMoto missed this round.

Round 5: Donington 6 Hours, 1st October 2005

 
Rider line up:

Mark Smith Halvorsen, Roger Bennett, Sandy Christie

Qualifying:      Mark – 2nd in group 1:18.31 (damp track)

                        Sandy – 11th in group 1:19.42 (damp track)

                        Roger – 3rd in group and overall 1:13.71 (damp track)

 

Race:

The team fought a succession of problems including a front wheel puncture, two rear wheels cracking during the race, a stop to top up the radiator, but after fighting back from 32nd position to 6th, had to retire with only 30 minutes to go due to a blown head gasket.  GBMoto fastest lap 1:13.75, race fastest lap by team Doc Bush at 1:12.35
