| The Scottish Regal Championship is the Scottish National Championship. It is open to bikes which meet the British Superstock rules so no tuning is allowed, only blueprinting. All original brakes, wheels, chassis are compulsory. The rules allow for changes to the fork internals, compete shock, complete exhaust, and the fitment of a Powercommander, which allows the remapping of the the injection system, all of which we've done. It is also possible tochange the geometry by clever use of ride heights which we've also done. |

Roger's engine has been prepared by Stuart Young of YPE Engineering. The modifications to the Fuel Injection mapping in conjunction with a Yoshimura exhaust allow the Roger's engine to produce around 156BHP at the rear wheel. Since the GSXR1000 has no traction control system, drivability and predictability - especially in damp or wet conditions (not uncommon in Scotland!) require particular attention to the EFI system. The result is a superb balance of power and tractability. |
| The GSXR1000 in standard form is a good handling bike, but when subjected to the additional forces of a race track it requires significant changes. Roger has enlisted the help of suspension guru Max MacAllistair of Traxxion Dynamics in America. Max and his UK colleague Gareth, have recommended a series of changes to the GSXR1000 which have altered the handling characteristics significantly. Roger has helped in the development of the suspension and the result is impressive to say the least - Roger breaking the class Lap Record at Knockhill in the last two meetings. |
