Quality
Quality StandardsIn 1987 the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, established a series of international quality standards called the ISO 9000 Series of Standards. These standards were developed form the British Standards BS 5750 Parts 1-3. The series is not specific to any one industry, but when used with proper industry-specific standards, helps build a strong foundation for a quality system. The idea behind ISO is to promote standardization which will facilitate the international exchange of goods and services. The BS EN versions of these standards are as issued by the BSI. In 2000 BS EN IS0 9001:2000 replaced and superseded BS EN ISO 9001,BS EN ISO 9002 and BS EN ISO 9003 For Reference a list of the relevant standards is provided below;
