Something to sing about!

Lots of singing and lots of fun. Both are on offer at Greneway School in Royston on Saturday 21 September at Choral Workshop 2002.

Singers of all ages from villages around Royston are invited to come along for this free event. Members of choirs, and others who simply want to 'have a go’, will be able to tackle choral masterpieces, new works and lighter pieces - from Bach and Haydn, to Jerome Kern and George Gershwin.

Chris Lee sings with the Royston Choral Society and is helping to organise the workshop: "Last year we had singers from all over Hertfordshire and South Cambridgeshire. There’s always a lot of interest so early booking is advisable."

A grant from the Lottery’s ‘Awards for All’ scheme means that this year the event is free, with refreshments and light snacks (but not lunch) provided. Transport can also be provided if necessary.

Advance booking is essential for music hire and catering purposes. For further information and bookings, call Chris Lee on 01763 245413 (e-mail chrislee@care4free.net) or David Boarder on 01992 623489 (e-mail david.boarder@hertscc.gov.uk)
