New season for Royston Choral Society

Two fine choral works launch the Royston Choral Society's new season of concerts for music lovers in North Herts, South Cambridgeshire and villages on the Essex border.

On Saturday 23 November, the choir once again team up with the Broxbourne Sinfonia to perform J S Bach's Magnificat and Haydn's lesser known 'Harmonie' Mass in B flat. The concert at Royston Parish Church starts at 7.30pm.

For Peter Woodcock from Melbourn the concert is his first with the choir, having joined in September: "I'm really excited by the music, if a little nervous. But the other choir members are most supportive and our Musical Director, David Boarder, is very inspiring."

Tickets for the concerts are on sale in advance from Royston Library, or on the door on the night, price £8 (concessions £5, 'still at school' £1). For further details about the concerts and choir call David Boarder on 01992 623489 or Caroline Franks on 01920 822723
