Royston Choral Society and the Royston Youth Choir unite for a 'Christmas Celebration' at Royston Parish Church on Saturday 21 December at 7.30pm.
The Christmas concert, the first of its kind in recent years, will be a rich mix of seasonal music including lesser-known carols, choral arrangements, and some pieces with audience participation.
Chris Lee, has been a tenor with the choir for the past three years but this is a first for him. "I always feel that music makes Christmas, so I'm delighted we're finally putting on a seasonal event, and one which will be a little out of the ordinary."
Mulled wine and mince pies, included in the price of the tickets, will also help get the audience into the Christmas spirit before the concert starts.
Tickets are on sale in advance from Royston Library, or on the door on the night, price £8 (concessions £5, 'still at school' £1). Further details from David Boarder on 01992 623489 or Caroline Franks on 01920 822723.
