The brewery was set up in 1992 in the old bottle store at the Green Dragon in Evesham. The owner and licensee, Steve Murphy, acquired the adjoining Giddings (formerly the Golden Hart), and combined the two into the Blue Maze. He also supplied another four outlets direct, and brewed a special for the Fish And Anchor at Offenham. 'Asum' is of course the local pronunciation of Evesham.

3.8% 1038 Asum Ale Dry, sharp tawny bitter with an interplay of malt, hops and fruit in the aroma and taste. Fruit fades as a dry, almost harsh finale develops.

5.2% 1052 Asum Gold A well-balanced premium ale that has all the range of tastes from malt to a fruity, hoppiness that make it a very satisfing drink.
