A new 2.5-barrel brewery started by Derek Hawyes in October 2005 as Shakespeare's Brewery: the name was changed in October 2006 after legal threats from an Austrian company that had registered Royal Shakespeare as a trademark! The bottled versions of the beer have won accreditation from CAMRA's Real Ale in a Bottle scheme and will appear in CAMRA's Good Bottled Beer Guide.. The first brew of Tempest (5.5%) won gold at the SIBA Midlands Beer Competition at Nottingham in October 2005, while Tumbledown (5.0%) won silver medal at September's Harbury Beer Festival
