The Shakespeare area is well provided with arts and music festivals, and several of them arrange events in pubs throughout the area.
Shipston Proms 2008
The 10th Shipston Proms will run from 14 to 28 June, with most paid events in churches or the Townsend Hall, and a wide range of free music in local pubs. The Last Night of the Proms sees the town's High Street closed off from 6.30, culminating in dancing in the street, with street musicians, bands and a pig roast. (in Townsend Hall if wet).
