What's on in Pubs

Music and dance flourish in pubs in our area. Many organise regular sessions, more have the odd event from time to time. And then there are the visiting performers such as Morris Dancers, who tour around pubs exercising their arts (or is that arms?). Our listings set out to let you know what free (or nearly so) entertainment is available in our real ale pubs.

Morris Dance: The main season runs from Easter to mid-September, but they are sometimes seen at other times.
Music and Arts Festivals: Often arranged as tie-ins to local arts festivals such as Alcester & Arden FF or Shipston Proms.

Cox's Yard in Stratford is the only major pub venue in the area putting on larger (payable) concerts about four times a week. These vary from local "Battle of the Bands" showcases to tribute bands, and 60s/70s pop and folk-rock outfits. See Cox's Yard website for bands, dates and prices.
