This welcoming single-bar pub on the High Street is a "must visit". The antique shop-style small-paned windows belie the stone-flagged floor and low beams of the single room inside, where a glass panel reveals a wattle-and-daub wall. No piped music, no food, no pool - how real pubs used to be. Up to eight ales from micros and independents provide a permanent yet ever-changing mini beer festival.
