Real ale returned to the Plough in December 2007 after a gap of over 25 years, but had disappeared again by May 2008. A sensitive open-plan refurbishment provides discrete areas round a central island bar. Food is served from 12 to 3pm and 5 to 9pm (not Sunday evenings or Mondays).
