A large, town-centre Wetherspoons within easy walking distance of the river Avon, theatres, bus routes and rail station. Opened in 2001, it takes its name from the refreshment rooms which ocupied this timber-framed building in the early twentieth century. The walls are adorned with many pictures of Shakespeare and his plays, and free wi-fi access is available. Usually three or four guest ales from nationals and micro-breweries, with regular mini-festivals throughout the year. Cask Marque accredited for beer quality.
