A roughly triangular edge-of-town pub, which was a Doctor's house up to the 1890s. Built on a former field of the same name (apparently because of its shape), it masqueraded as the Beadle in the late 80s and early 90s. The lounge area is towards the sharp end; pool and darts at the blunt end. Occasional live music. Closed Wednesday lunchtime.
