DEESIDE ORIENTEERING CLUB PERMANENT COURSES

As well as organised events, there are many permanent courses across the UK. Here, once you have acquired a map, you can orienteer when you like.
The map kit will usually include:
    - a map with the control sites marked,
    - a control card for you to mark the codes corresponding to the control marker,
    - a sheet of instructions to help you get started.

There are several permanent courses in the Deeside OC area which include:

Primrose Hill, near Kelsall. This course is no longer available due to Forest Enterprise felling operations.

Wirral Country Parks - Permanent Courses

Maps are available from the Head Ranger at Arrowe Park - 0151-678-4200.
There are courses at Arrowe Park GR SJ276857 and Birkenhead Park GR SJ3089.
Unfortunately the courses at these parks are subject to vandalism, and some markers may not exist, or may be illegible.
