WINSLOW BOWLS CLUB HISTORY |
|||||||||
| About Us | A second green built in 1922, as part of a complex which included tennis courts and croquet lawn, was named The Winslow Sports Club. These facilities were situated at the top of Park Road, where the Library now stands. This Club folded at the start of the war. The author when he came to Winslow in 1952 attended a meeting held in that Club House in an attempt to reopen the Club again, but it was not to be.
* It is interesting to note that Dot Briars moved to Lincolnshire where she later became the County President.
