All Fully paid up members of MAD C.C. are invited to compete for a Valpetina Trophy or the Lucy Sutton Trophy in an annual club competition.
Valpetina Trophies - Pedigree
Lucy Sutton Trophy - Non Pedigree
Three Valpetina trophies are awarded to three pedigree exhibits gaining the most points in one of the three sections:- Adults, Kittens & Neuters
The Lucy Sutton Trophy is awarded to the Non-Pedigree exhibit that has gained the most points over the year.
Points will be awarded based on the results of Open classes at all GCCF registered shows( Exemption, Sanction & Championship) as follows:
1st Place = 3 points
2nd Place = 2 Points
3rd Place = 1 Point
BOB Awarded = 2 Bonus Points
Merit Awarded = 3 Points
Where an exhibit is entered in the Grand Class but not in the Open Class, then points for placings will be awarded thus:
Grand = 3 Points
Reserve = 2 Points
If an exhibit is entered in both Grand & Open Classes then only the
open class placings count
Members may enter any number of exhibits but points totals will be for each individual exhibit. The competition will run from January 1st to December 31st every year and trophies will be presented at the annual AGM in February and will be held for one year.
In the event of a tie in the final points totals in any section then the winner will be the exhibit gaining most points from the least number of shows entered, then the most BOBs, the most 1st placings etc.
It is the responsibility of each member to submit in writing the following information for each exhibit:
Exhibit's name & breed
Section entered ( Adult, Kitten or Neuter)
Shows entered
Open or Grand Class placings
Whether Best Of Breed Awarded
Running total of points claimed
Eligibility for the competition will start from the date of commencement of membership. Claims should be made on a regular basis to enable the latest positions to be announced.
The final date for receiving claims in January 7th following the year of the competition.
ie. 7th January 2003 will be the closing date for the competition year 1st January 2002 - 31st December 2002.
