Buy a Bathroom Suite !

The first thing that had to be done to the house was to install a new bathroom suite.

The existing bathroom suite was a discontinued colour - Sun King. We put up with it for a few weeks but couldn't wait to replace it. It wasn't difficult to see why it was discontinued !

we had to buy a bathroom suite to replace this one

First things first: we had to buy a bathroom suite.

Being the owner of a bathroom showroom at the time made this the easy bit. It also helped that we were about to change the showroom around and had some built in vanity cupboards that were being taken off display. Amazingly the vanity units were exactly the right size for our new bathroom and could be fitted in without any alteration at all.

vanity units giving lots of bathroom storage

The vanity units gave us a lot of storage space in the bathroom, as we had a tall cupboard, a bathroom cabinet unit each side of the mirror, a drawer unit and a vanity base unit. The cistern for the back to wall pan was concealed in a WC unit.

Carron bath with Omega bath shower mixer

We decided on an acrylic bath, and chose one from the Carron Range, made from 8mm acrylic rather than the standard 5mm. We didn't buy a bath panel as this going to be made out of the bathroom cladding that we were using to decorate the bathroom walls.

A chrome Omega basin mixer tap was chosen from Bristan together with a matching bath shower mixer.
