Having grown up as the son of a plumber and worked most of my life in the family Do ItYourself and bathroom business, it seemed like a good idea to have a go at a bit of DIY for myselfbathroom bath bath bath

After moving into our current house four years ago it became apparent the first thing that would have to go was the bathroom. The first house we bought had a lovely burgundy bathroom suite fitted, and our new house was also blessed with a truly stunning sun king bathroom suite (why don't people install a cheap white bathroom suite before trying to sell the house, it makes all the difference). Anyway you can see how I got on by clicking here.

The garden needed quite a bit of attention. The shrubs were too close to the French doors so the an extra 3ft of patio area was cleared and a new set of steps, retaining wall, raised flower bed and barbeque were built - a bit of a major project. Unfortunately there are not many photos of the garden before the work was undertaken, so you'll have to take my word for it.

The downstairs cloakroom had a nice harvest gold toilet so it also paid a little visit to the tip.

The last major project that we had a go at was the kitchen. I was going to tackle it myslef but decided in the end to call an expert to lend a hand as it was a little too much for me to do alone and I wanted the worktops butt & scribed and I didn't have the right tools needed.
