The DIY Pages - MarxwebHaving grown up as the son of a plumber and worked most of my life in
the family Do ItYourself and bathroom business, it seemed
like a good idea to have a go at a bit of DIY for myself |

After moving into our current house four years ago it became apparent the first thing that would have to go was the bathroom. The first house we bought had a lovely burgundy bathroom suite fitted, and our new house was also blessed with a truly stunning sun king bathroom suite (why don't people install a cheap white bathroom suite before trying to sell the house, it makes all the difference). Anyway you can see how I got on by clicking here. The garden needed quite a bit of attention. The shrubs were too close to the French doors so the an extra 3ft of patio area was cleared and a new set of steps, retaining wall, raised flower bed and barbeque were built - a bit of a major project. Unfortunately there are not many photos of the garden before the work was undertaken, so you'll have to take my word for it. The downstairs cloakroom had a nice harvest gold toilet so it also paid a little visit to the tip. The last major project that we had a go at was the kitchen. I was going to tackle it myslef but decided in the end to call an expert to lend a hand as it was a little too much for me to do alone and I wanted the worktops butt & scribed and I didn't have the right tools needed. |
