These outstanding sub amps with crossover are the second generation of RCMakustik's Detonation series first introduced in 1996. The Generation II models were introduced in August 1999. The amps combine all the great features of the first generation with even improved facilities. These stunningly good modules sound excellent and they are extremely reliable. They do not suffer from the integration problems that some other designs do whilst offering more sophisticated facilities. on top of this, they provide an excellent well controlled performance which will rival any that you have heard.

The DT300 Active-Subwoofer module uses the latest Class D amplifier technology. The class D amplifier is extremely efficient resulting in a smaller heatsink than would normally be expected. This enables a compact design with a high output. The unit can be driven through either a High Level or a Low Level imput. The module has a variable 3rd order Linkwitz-Riley bass filter and a variable phase control. The High Level output has a passive 1st order treble filter.The Low Level output has an active 2nd order treble filter. Bass compensation is handled by a combined frequency and amplitude adjustable treble filter. A switchable limiter ensures low distortion bass reproduction. In order to eliminate air leakage around the front panel the DT300 is sealed to the rear with a plastic housing. Protection circuitry protects from both thermal and electrical overloading. The module uses high performance gold plated terminals, robust control elements and a solid aluminium front panel.
