The Whiteknights Pot Spotting Society of Reading, Berkshire was founded by Archibald Spline in 1870. Among its members was Stephen Richards, the inventor of the Richard's Standard Scoring Scheme which was adopted by the CPSA. The society was dissolved shortly after WW1, but re-established in 1998. The following potshots were taken at Reading University by U. R. Kidding of Whiteknights PSS.
The pride and the shame of Reading University side by side on the roof of the Senior Common Room. On the right, the magnificent White Knight itself, the pot that gave its name to the Whiteknights pot spotting society. On the left, The Prince Of Darkness, a horrifying black metal excrescence which is a major Vile Addition if ever there was one and counts for ten minus points in the reckoning of the Building Value.
Another view of the White Knight, this time together with three of five smaller pots on the same building which are known as the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Knights, or the Sepia Squires.
